Sommelier Wine Awards 2017 awarded Don Manuel Villafañe, Gran Reserva 2011 the Bronze medal for the best wines available to the UK hospitality sector.
Arnaud Fiol of The Don Restaurant found ‘dried flowers on the nose, and a poised palate with well-integrated tannins’, and Vinoteca’s Charlie Young enjoyed its ‘lovely savoury, pure nose, full tannins and concentrated fruit, with acidity keeping the whole thing flowing – big!’
